Celebrating 1000 watchers competition!
Hi everyone
Well, I've reached a little milestone on DA and reached 1000 watchers. Okay, for a professional artist that may not mean anything but to someone like me, it's a really nice surprise. I'm quite stunned by that but want to take a moment to thank every one of you that have taken time out of their day to look at my art, fave and leave a comment.
Also a special thank you to my regulars who are always there, participate in the WIP game, leave lots of fun comments and generally give me something to smile about every time I log on to DA.
So, to celebrate I thought I'd run a little competition
Prizes will be pretty straightforward:
Current Residence: New Jersey, USA Favourite style of art: Illustration Operating System: Windows MP3 player of choice: Ipod Favourite cartoon character: Bugs Bunny
Do you like professional grade fanfic? Gorgeous art? This zine is for you. It is the collected work of fanfic writer Sue Zahn focusing on the relationship between Han and Leia, and includes artwork from multiple great artists (ahem...myself included...).

Truly a treasure trove for the Han and Leia fan. 386 pages of incomparable fan fic and artwork both b/w and color.
Get it for yourself or your favorite Han/Leia fan. You won't regret it.

I have been drawing pretty much my whole life. So how is it I didn't know till just recently that it's better to turn the pencil sharpener, rather than turning the pencil? I've always just figured broken leads were part of life but, as it turns out, turning the pencil means that the pencil will wiggle a little and stress the lead. Turning the SHARPENER keeps the pencil much more steady, reducing breaks and making a very nice sharp point. Am I the only one who didn't know this? I am completely amazed.
Writing this quickly, as much to get that awful, depressing last journal off the front of my page (that business...sigh). Its been kind of a rough year and I haven't been very creative at all, but my birthday is in a few days, as is my 10 year wedding anniversary at the end of the month, and I'm now working on a Doctor Who project that I'm excited about. Nothing to show yet, and I'm debating whether to show sketches and preliminary work or to wait to reveal it when its all done. We'll see.
Almost 50 years for Doctor Who. Can you believe it?
